Babels showed in Yiwu Export Goods Exhibition

From October 21 to 24, the Yiwu International Expo Center became a hub of cross-border innovation as Babels unveiled its cutting-edge food waste disposers to enthusiastic audiences from home and abroad. What stood out most wasn’t just the sleek design of the appliances, but the overwhelming interest they generated—especially notable given the product’s relative novelty in China, where adoption remains concentrated in major metropolises.
A Showcase of Curiosity and Demand
Walking through the Babels booth, the energy was palpable. Domestic visitors, mostly from second and third-tier cities, leaned in to watch live demonstrations: chicken bones, corn cobs, and vegetable scraps disappearing into the in-sink unit, ground into particles smaller than 2mm—fine enough to flush harmlessly without clogging pipes . “I have one in my kitchen but noisy, your product is much quieter.” shared a customer from north China. “Our kitchen produces so much wet waste daily—this could save us hours of sorting and hauling.”
International buyers, particularly from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, were equally intrigued. Many noted alignment with their regions’ tightening waste management regulations. A distributor from Singapore explained: “As cities push for zero-waste targets, compact, efficient disposers like Babels’ are in high demand. The silent operation (under 60dB) and wireless one-touch control are game-changers for urban apartments .” This global appeal mirrors industry data showing China as both the world’s largest consumer market and a key export base for food waste disposers, accounting for 30% of global trade.
